Shiyenze Fashion is deeply personal to me.
My name is Roselyne Shiyenze I am a designer, an educator, and a woman shaped by resilience, heritage, and purpose. Before fashion became my platform, education shaped my life and it continues to guide everything I create.
The name Shiyenze means “someone who shows love.” I chose this name in honor of my mother a creative, strong woman whose dream of becoming a teacher was never realized due to circumstances beyond her control. Her love for learning, for people, and for community became my inheritance.
Growing up, I learned that clothing is more than what we wear it is identity, confidence, and storytelling. That understanding followed me into my career as both a fashion designer and an educator. Teaching allows me to nurture curiosity, creativity, and self-belief, while fashion allows me to express culture, history, and vision both are acts of service.
Shiyenze Fashion designs for a global audience, blending African-inspired textiles, modern silhouettes, and sustainable practices. Every piece is intentional made to be worn with confidence, pride, and meaning. From statement jackets to everyday essentials, each design reflects individuality and heritage.
Education remains at the heart of the brand. Through our collections including our signature socks a portion of every sale supports school-going children in Kakamega, Kenya, providing access to essential resources that help them continue their education with dignity.
Today, Shiyenze Fashion stands at the intersection of fashion, education, and community impact. With roots in Kenya and a home in Brooklyn, New York, the brand represents who I am a woman committed to teaching, creating, and building opportunities through intentional design.
This is more than fashion.
It is legacy.
It is love in action.
